Visions for the Hood River Waterfront Park

Would you like to get involved? Please accept our open invitation to attend our monthly board meetings. You'll find out our latest projects and what we are working on. Second Tuesday of the month, 6 PM at Nunamaker Realtors at 2495 Cascade Avenue in Hood River (call 541.386.5579 to confirm).

The park is being developed in two phases over a time period of several years. The first phase involved the major groundwork, including earth moving, engineering, and lots of heavy equipment. It was completed in August of 2008. The second phase is what we'd consider the "fun" phase: selecting and placing play equipment, planting trees, dedicating benches, etc. Click here to see a drawing of proposed landscaping.

Send us an e-mail if you'd like to be added to our mailing list to get period updates. Also, look for information tables at Hood River First Fridays in summer, as well as at other community events.

Committees
The WCPA has three major committees: Fundraising, Public Relations/Marketing, and Parents & Children.

Are you a parent? Contact Marianne Brevard at mariannebrevard@yahoo.com to have input into the children's play area and other areas that are of importance to families.
